  • What services does The Nanny Poppins Agency™ offer?

The Nanny Poppins Agency™ is a domestic referral staffing agency that specializes in matching qualified candidates with domestic positions nationwide. Our placements include live-in and live-out nannies, personal chefs, housekeepers, domestic staff, estate managers, newborn care specialists, special needs caregivers, personal assistants, and directors of residence. We are equipped to assist with filling any household position you may require.
  • How do I start the process of hiring a nanny or domestic staff?

To initiate the hiring process, please contact us through our website. Our team is available to discuss your needs and can arrange a complimentary consultation to explore how we can best assist you. We're here to help you find the right domestic staff for your household.
  • Are there any upfront costs or registration fees?

Our agency does not charge any upfront costs or registration fees. Payment is only required once a candidate has accepted your offer and all necessary background checks have been successfully completed and approved.
  • What qualifications do your nannies or domestic staff have?

All our nannies and domestic staff undergo a comprehensive screening process. This includes virtual interviews with our team, thorough reference checks, background verifications, and job history confirmation. Candidates are required to provide their license, photograph, resume, and any relevant certifications. During the placement process, we will present you with a detailed file containing all this information for your review.
  • Can I hire a nanny or domestic staff member for full-time, part-time, or temporary positions?

Our agency accommodates various employment arrangements. We can assist you in finding candidates for full-time, part-time, summer care, and temporary placements. Our goal is to provide flexible, thoroughly vetted candidates that align with your specific requirements.
  • Can I choose the nanny I want?

Absolutely. After understanding your requirements, we will present you with a selection of vetted candidate files. You will have the opportunity to interview these candidates to determine the best fit for your family. Each client is assigned an account manager who will guide you through the entire process, from initial consultation to final placement.
  • What kind of background checks do you conduct on nannies?

We collaborate with a comprehensive pre-employment screening company that utilizes advanced technology for our background checks. These checks cover misdemeanors, felonies, federal crimes, and sex offender database searches. Using the candidate's name, date of birth, and social security number, we conduct checks across all states where the individual has lived and worked. Additionally, we verify all associated addresses and driving records to ensure the most thorough results.
  • When do you run background checks?

Background checks are initiated after both the candidate and client have signed the offer letter. The background check company will then conduct the verification on your behalf. It's important to note that the offer letter is always contingent upon the successful completion of this background check.
  • What rate of pay do you recommend for our area?

Pay rates are determined by local market conditions, which are beyond our control. We provide recommendations based on current market rates in your area and our experience with similar positions we've filled. We always respect your budget and will not post any pay range without your explicit approval. For reference, you're welcome to review the open positions on our website to see pay ranges posted for your area.
  • What if I'm not satisfied with the candidate I hired?

Our primary goal is to ensure complete satisfaction for both our clients and candidates. If you find that the placement isn't suitable for any reason, please contact us within the timeframe specified in your service agreement. We will promptly begin the process of finding a replacement. We maintain communication with you even after the placement to ensure your ongoing satisfaction with our services.
  • How do I pay my new employee?

Compensation will vary depending on your preferences and the candidate’s preferences. To ensure the best results, we recommend using a nanny or domestic payroll service. We can provide you with a few options, if you need help getting started. It's important to note that we don’t monitor how you pay your staff. We simply provide the tools and resources you need to make educated decisions about the process. We are a referral and placement agency, but we recommend taking the compensation for your workers seriously. This includes ensuring overtime pay for live-out employees who work over 40 hours a week.
