One of our most asked question is “How long will my search take?”, and the follow up will then be (if calling far ahead of time) “If I want to hire for specific date/time of year, when should I get started?”. First of all- we have no upfront costs and you are only sent an invoice once a hire is completed, so why wouldn’t you sign up today?! Aside from the convenience that Nanny Poppins provides, many candidates already know when they will be looking for work next and/or when their current contract is up. We tell our clients that their search can take anywhere from two to twelve weeks. We have had clients sign up and hire someone within a few days. Other clients may take a month of two to hire. 

 

How long your search timeline is, and what the search entails often is up to you. Your search is customized to your needs, location, and job description. This being said, maybe your position is not straight forward. Maybe the candidate you are looking for may take you, us, or any other agency a longer time to find. Maybe you are in a remote location, and maybe you can afford to provide the highest hourly rate. 

 

Every search is different from the next, and so we have to treat them accordingly. We always recommend providing market rate pay, and standard benefits. Even if you have a lower pay than other positions, benefits are a huge incentive and often make the decision for a candidate.
